Youth Camp 2008!! Youth camp is almost here!! Please make sure you attend the Sunday before your child leaves for camp to catch any last minute changes or updates!! We will be going to Rapidan Baptist Camp in Madison County. It is a beautiful facility offering many activities including: wall climbing, swimming pool, water slide, lake, boating, fishing, gyroscope, basketball, volleyball, sling shot range, etc. Most importantly, there will be two preaching services a day along with daily devotions giving each youth an opportunity to grow closer to God! Our Teens and our Pre-Teens will go on different weeks and will be joining many others their ages from all over for an exciting week of camp. The cost to parents is $50 for each child that is to be made payable to Rapidan Baptist Camp and is not refundable. Please see Pastor Mike if you can be a chapereon on either week. We need women and men. Also, if you would like to sponsor a child for Youth camp for $100, just place it in the offering plate noting that it is to sponsor a child for Youth Camp. Junior Camp - (Ages 7-12) July 21-25
The Junior Campers (age 7-12) will be going to camp Monday July 21st and returning Friday July 25th. If you have a child that is attending, please make plans to be at church on Sunday July 20th to catch any last minute updates or changes. Also, make sure you have pre-registered with Rapidan Baptist Camp. If you have not registered your kid yet, you can still do so by contacting Rapidan Baptist Camp and sending in your non-refundable deposit of $50. Their phone number is (540) 672-0426. The website is www.camprapidan.com. We plan to leave from the church at 9am on Monday July 21st. We will return Friday July 25th about 2:30pm to the church. If you have a non-church friend that would like to go, they are welcome as well but must pay the full price of $160 to Camp Rapidan.
Teen Camp - (Ages 13-18)
August 4-9
The Teen Campers (age 7-12) will be going to camp Monday August 4th and returning Saturday August 9th. If you have a Teen that is attending, please make plans to be at church on Sunday August 3rd to catch any last minute updates or changes. Also, make sure you have pre-registered with Rapidan Baptist Camp. If you have not registered your Teen yet, you can still do so by contacting Rapidan Baptist Camp and sending in your non-refundable deposit of $50. Their phone number is (540) 672-0426. The website is www.camprapidan.com. We plan to leave from the church at 9am on Monday August 4th. We will return Saturday, August 9th around 11:30am to the church. If you have a non-church friend that would like to go, they are welcome as well but must pay the full price of $170 to Camp Rapidan.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________ Last Years Youth Camp 2007 Youth Camp 2007 was a huge success. Everyone had lots of fun and learned lots about the Lord Jesus Christ!! Many young adults and kids gave their lives to Jesus Christ, others made vows to be forgive and to work hard to become a better person. In all we had 14 kids and 4 adults from Cornerstone Baptist!! Pastor Mike and all the campers would like to thank each of you for your generosity in giving to make this trip financially possible. In total we witnessed God save about 20 people!!!
